Quality CBD products starts in the soil!
Husband and wife, Josh and Nicole, started Alive Market because they believed in regeneration of the land and creating clean CBD products for anyone looking for a better way to sustain their health and wellbeing. From our specific hemp seed genetics and living soil to our hand crafted products using simple organic and sustainable ingredients is why our customers trust and choose Alive Market over and over again.
Alive Market was created to make an impact in the world. That means we have high standards when it comes to quality. We believe quality starts in the soil. Which to us, means fixing the soil. When we purchased our 10 acre farm we knew our commitment was much more than providing clean CBD products, it was a commitment to make our deserted land into a living sustainable eco system where all plants including our hemp plants thrived. |

Tilling VS No-Till Farming
Most conventional farmers will "till" their soil by turning over the first 6 – 10 inches of soil before planting new crops. When tilling soil the microorganisms and roots are being killed and the carbon that the plant brought into the soil is being pushed into the atmosphere! We believe in No-till Farming, which means we do not disturb the soil through tillage . This farming technique decreases the amount of soil erosion that tillage would create in most soils. No till farming keeps the carbon that was subquestered by the plant in the soil instead of going into the atmosphere. No-till practices also slow evaporation, which means better absorption of rainwater. Microorganisms, fungi and bacteria is important to soil and plant health. When soil is left undisturbed, beneficial organisms can establish their home and feed off of the soil’s organic matter. Overall, by practicing No Till Farming, we can improve soil health, stop erosion and in return cultivate healthier plants. |
Composting
At our farm we don't let any organic material go to waste! All organic matter is broken down or decayed by microorganisms and turned into compost. Naturally, compost is a nutrient-rich fertilizer to add to soil and plants as food for more microorganisms to feed on! We also take the composted matter and brew it into a compost tea to use as a natural fertilizer. By utilizing compost on our farm we are creating a closed loop system where there is zero waste. This allows preservation of nutrients and carbon levels within the soil and allows for sustainability. |
Mulch
Mother Nature knows best, which is why in the forest there is a natural process of falling leaves that creates mulch to cover the soil. On our farm we also believe in using organic mulch around our plants to retain water, minimize evaporation and soil erosion and create food by breaking down into the soil. |
